SaportaReport's David Pendered spent the day at ANDP's NeighborWorks Week training for neighborhood leaders. The "Neighbors Together" event is in its fifth year of providing leadership development training to residents of South Metro. The 2019 event, presented by NeighborWorks America, Publix Super Markets Charities, and State Farm, focused on connecting generations of leaders. In an era when many resident leaders are retired or approaching retirement, preparing the next generation to assume leadership roles in the community will be critical to sustaining healthy neighborhoods. Involvement in community activities give youth concrete experience that translates into job experience, builds leadership skills and may help direct future career choices. Read More
