ANDP selects Susan Adams to lead advocacy department, programs

ANDP is turning to a skilled communicator to lead its Research, Policy & Information Department which houses the Mixed Income Communities Initiative (MICI). Susan E. Adams, a twelve-year veteran of the affordable housing industry, has been selected to fill the position vacated by M. von Nkosi in February.

“We are pleased to announce Susan’s arrival to the ANDP family and know that her passion for affordable housing will serve us very well. She brings a wealth of knowledge of our industry and a keen understanding of the need for collaboration between the public and private sectors,” noted ANDP President & CEO John O’Callaghan.

Susan joins ANDP after a decade of work with Fannie Mae where she served as Director of Communications and as Manager of Governmental Relations. Most recently, Susan provided affordable housing and communication consultative services to clients throughout the Southeastern United States.

Susan received her Bachelor’s in political science from Wake Forest University and has completed graduate coursework in communications at Georgia State University. Upon finishing her studies in political science, Susan received her orientation to governmental affairs while serving as Deputy Staff Director of the U.S. Senate Commerce Committee and as assistant to former U.S. Senator John C. Danforth (R-MO).

“I am very excited about joining the ANDP team. The Mixed Income Communities Initiative is well established and benefits from a very talented body of committed volunteers. I look forward to lending my skills and experience to enhance the good work that is already being done,” explained Susan.

Susan assumes her new role with ANDP in mid-April.
